Google Play Books has published more than 300 children's books for free. These are educational non-fiction books for a very young audience about animals, cars, aeroplanes, etc. Each page of the children's book has very little text, but large pictures or photos.
Thanks to the Read & Loud function you can switch on the text voice. The spoken text will be highlighted during the voiceover, and the pages can turn themselves if you switch on this mode. According to Google's help section, Read & Loud also allows your child to pronounce the text themselves, and when they're done reading, they can get a review of their mistakes in the 'Practice' mode.
